FAYETTEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA REALTOR® TRAVIS WELDON EARNS HIS MILITARY RELOCATION PROFESSIONAL (MRP) CERTIFICATION

Military families don't just need someone to unlock a door. They need someone who understands their lifestyle, timelines, and what is at stake. I've lived that life in the Army for over 21 years.”
— Travis L. Weldon, Sr.
FAYETTEVILLE, NC, UNITED STATES, August 17, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Travis L. Weldon, Sr., is an impressive, charismatic, and deeply engaging real estate agent with Home Atlast Realty in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He has dedicated his life to serving others. For more than 36 years, he has served in many roles: as a Soldier and combat veteran in the United States Army, a federal civilian supporting the nation’s most elite military organizations, and now as a REALTOR® helping families achieve homeownership.

Travis was born in Charleston, South Carolina, and has proudly called Fayetteville, North Carolina, home for more than 25 years. He credits his parents with shaping the values that continue to guide him today. “Both of my parents worked multiple jobs while raising six children, teaching us that integrity, responsibility, humility, and hard work are not just admirable qualities; they are a way of life. They taught me that hard work isn't something you talk about — it is something you demonstrate every day. My father taught me how to work with my hands, fix things, and take pride in doing a job the right way, while my mother taught me discipline, responsibility, and accountability. Those lessons continue to guide every part of my life.” Although his career has evolved over the years, his purpose has remained the same: “Serve people. Lead with integrity. Leave every person better than you found them.”

Travis proudly served more than 21 years on active duty in the United States Army, retiring as a Master Sergeant. His final assignment represented the pinnacle of his military career. He served as the Deputy, Sergeants Major Branch at the U.S. Army Human Resources Command, where he helped manage the assignments and career progression of the Army's Sergeants Major and Command Sergeants Major. He says, “It was a position built on trust, accuracy, and accountability. There was no room for error. Every decision I made affected leaders, Soldiers, and families. I took tremendous pride in making sure every assignment was handled professionally, fairly, and with integrity."

Following military retirement, Travis continued serving the nation for another 15 years as a federal civilian supporting the United States Army Special Operations Command. His military and civilian careers provided him with decades of experience in leadership, planning, communication, and serving others under demanding circumstances. After retiring from federal service, Travis wasn't looking for another job. He was looking for another way to serve. Real estate became the next chapter of that mission. Today, he helps first-time homebuyers, military families, sellers, and investors throughout North Carolina navigate one of the most important financial decisions of their lives. His philosophy is simple: Educate first. Listen carefully. Communicate honestly. Serve with integrity.

For Travis, the Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification represents much more than another professional credential. It reflects a lifetime of firsthand experience. He understands PCS moves, deployments, military timelines, buying a home from another state or another country, and the stress placed on military families during relocation. Unlike many real estate professionals, Travis has personally lived those experiences himself. "Military families don't just need someone to unlock a door. They need someone who understands their lifestyle, their timelines, and what is at stake. I've lived that life, and serving them isn't just my profession — it's personal."

Travis believes buying or selling a home should never feel overwhelming. His responsibility is not simply helping clients buy or sell a home; it is educating people so they can make confident decisions that support their family's future. He also believes homeownership creates opportunities that extend far beyond the closing table. It builds stability. It creates financial security. It helps families build generational wealth.

Travis says, “Throughout my Army career, I learned that leadership is not about rank. Leadership is about people. Whether I was leading Soldiers or serving in the Deputy Sergeants Major Branch, every decision affected someone's life, someone's family, and someone's future. That perspective continues to guide the way I serve my clients today. One of my favorite memories came while serving in the Sergeants Major Branch. The phone would ring. The caller would ask, ‘Do you know who this is?’ Without hesitation, I'd answer, ‘Yes... Sergeant Major.’ There would always be a pause before we both laughed. Then they'd introduce themselves. It became an inside joke because if someone was calling the Sergeants Major Branch, chances were, they were a Sergeant Major. Even in demanding positions, I learned that professionalism and a little humor can go a long way toward building relationships. When I retired from the Army, my mission didn't end. When I retired from federal service, it didn't end either. It simply changed, and today I have the privilege of helping families make one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives. To me, that's more than real estate. It's another opportunity to serve.”

Travis has several favorite quotes, such as:

"The mission never changed. Only the way I serve did."

"Integrity isn't part of my business. It is my business."

“Each One, Teach One.”

Travis is proud to serve the areas surrounding Ft. Bragg, such as Fayetteville, Hope Mills, Raeford, Spring Lake, Southern Pines, and Pinehurst.
