Virtual financial aid staff training workshops set for September, October
CHE will offer a virtual training workshop series in September and October for new financial aid professionals and experienced staff seeking a refresher on South Carolina’s state scholarship and grant programs.
These sessions will provide comprehensive, program-specific training led by CHE staff with extensive expertise in state financial aid administration. The workshops will provide an in-depth understanding of program regulations, eligibility requirements, renewal criteria, reporting and invoicing responsibilities, and common compliance considerations. They will also offer opportunities to explore real-world scenarios, discuss frequently asked questions, and strengthen understanding of policy and regulatory requirements.
Due to popular demand, we will also be hosting a Virtual Regional Scholarship Workshop for those who were unable to attend our in-person sessions this summer. This workshop will cover the same presentation and information shared during the Regional Workshops held across the state.
Each workshop will begin at 10 a.m. and will last no longer than one hour. Please review the available sessions below and register using the corresponding registration links.
Additionally, The SC National Guard College Assistance Program (CAP) will also offer a Best Practices Workshop on Oct. 20 at 10 a.m. While this session is separate from the New Financial Aid Staff Training Series, financial aid professionals are encouraged to attend.
